Newbury Park, CA — November 19, 2011 — Pictured above are 3 retired surfboards that will soon be converted into works of art! They were generously donated to me by life long surfer, Matt Sparks, state of the art custom surfboard shaper, manufacturer and owner of M.D.S. Surfboards.
Before I can put art on any of these boards, a decent amount of time and effort is dedicated to the refurbishing and clean-up process. Yes, it's messy and time consuming but at the end - the boards are not only ready for art, they're surfable!To see my "finished product," head on over to the Photon Gallery (866-963-1199), located at 522 East Santa Clara Street (one block East of California Street) in downtown Ventura. Portions of all sales are donated to the Surfrider Foundation, a highly regarded non-profit organization that protects our ocean, waves and beaches since 1984.
