Bruneau Dunes State Park is captured by TRUNKS ART!

Bruneau Dunes State Park, Idaho - December 31, 2018 - "Bruneau Dunes" (#2/12) - When you've finally come to a stop from "sledding" down the highest point in Idaho's Bruneau Dunes State Park, you might be surprised to learn that you just conquered the largest structured sand dune in North America at 470 feet.  Pretty cool, huh? Don't answer because there's an even better factoid: Equivalent winds from both the northwest (32% of the time) and southeast (28% of the time) allow this massive dune to retain its shape and not move.  Now you can answer.  "Cool!"

TRUNKS ART was featured at the Idaho State Capitol!

Boise, Idaho - December 9, 2018 - The First Annual Holiday Event at the Idaho State Capitol Building Gift Shop was a terrific success this year.  The best part was disclosing the meaning behind each of these 12 pieces to all the shoppers and buyers.  My favorite comment: "You sure know A LOT about Boise for only having lived here for a few years!"

TRUNKS ART Begins a NEW art series dedicated to enlightening others about The Gem State!

Arco, Idaho - December 19, 2018 - "Craters of the Moon" (#1/12) - Inquiring minds want to know!  If the cinder cones in Idaho's Craters of the Moon National Monument are millions of years old, why are they still 'pointy?'  Wouldn't winds and weather soften and smooth them out by now?  As it turns out, rain passes right through the cinder cones and travels 100 miles to places like Thousand Springs, Ritter Island and Box Canyon near Hagerman, Idaho.  The nearest little city to the monument has quite the distinction.  In 1955, Arco, Idaho became the first city to be powered by nuclear power!

"The Eye of CVG" - Final Installment of the Conejo Valley Guide Series by TRUNKS ART!

Newbury Park, California - November 1, 2018 - "The Eye of CVG" (#6/6) - This is the last commissioned artwork for the Conejo Valley Guide (.com), a Newbury Park, California based online kiosk providing news, ideas, activities and exclusives to residents and visitors in Ventura County.  Sure, this piece showcases the positivity and creative eye of CVG but it also speaks to our own tendency to only see what we want to see.

CVG.com No.5: "Reagan Library"....created by TRUNKS ART!

Simi Valley, California - September 30, 2018 - "Reagan Library" (#5/6) - The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is like a mini Smithsonian dedicated to our 40th President. To me, the most prominent feature is the retired Air Force One 707 Boeing that served our nation for 28 years.  If I could bring back my grandparents, who loved Ronald Reagan, I'd do two things: bring them here and tell them that I shook his hand (in Santa Monica).  More information about this outstanding venue can be found at the Conejo Valley Guide (.com) website.

Music of the Night! "Plaza" is the latest from TRUNKS ART!

Thousand Oaks, California - September 16, 2018 - "Plaza" (#4/6) - Phantom of the Opera's 'Music of the Night' is a composition I'll always remember because it was the theme song of the first Broadway Musical I ever attended.  So when the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza opened its doors in 1994, I found myself buying season tickets year after year.  A complete listing of events at this outstanding venue can be found at the Conejo Valley Guide (.com) website. "Now silence your phones and enjoy the show!"

TRUNKS ART just completed, "Paradise Falls" for the Conejo Valley Guide (.com)!

Ventura County, California - August 14, 2018 - "Paradise Falls" (#3) - Paradise Falls is a real place in Southern California and reminds me of Jump Creek Falls in Marsing, Idaho. Located in Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks, it drops 40 feel into a picturesque pool of cool mountain water with crayola colored fish literally jumping 4 to 6 feet out of it!

"Sickamore Kove"...new art piece for the Conejo Valley Guide (.com) by Trunks Art!

Ventura County, California - July 23, 2018 - "Sickamore Kove" (#2/6) - Not one for traffic and parking hassles, I always try to find alternatives to mitigate those summertime frustrations. Take Sycamore Cove in Ventura County in Southern California for instance.  Sitting at the northern end of the Santa Monica Mountains, it offers tranquil surf, a clean beach, plenty of shade trees, bathrooms and on-duty lifeguards to watch over you, your family and friends.  Forget driving there! Instead, park your car up in Newbury Park at the trailhead on Potrero Road and hike, bike or run through the canyon to Sycamore Cove.  It's ONLY about 10 miles and believe me - it'll feel like a dessert oasis when you get there!  The folks at the Conejo Valley Guide (.com) know what I'm talking about!

"Conejo Captures" - New From TRUNKS ART!

Ventura County, California - July 3, 2018 - "Conejo Captures" (#1) - There are roughly 8 billion people in the world today.  If only 1 billion take 3 photos per year, that's 1 trillion photos in a year.  Comparatively, "only" 25 billion pictures were taken in 1980.  Widely considered the gem of Ventura County in Southern California, the Conejo Valley provides countless activities against the stunning backdrop of the Santa Monica Mountains.  Say CHEESE!

TRUNKS ART completes the last of the Boise Series: "A Boise State of Mind!"

Boise, ID - June 6, 2018 - "Boise State of Mind" (#12) - Nearly 40% of the 1.75 Million Idahoans live in the Boise-Nampa Treasure Valley.  It’s a busy place; and it’s getting busier every year.  So where do these folks go to play? Well, from my humble perspective, many of these fun-loving Boiseans make day trips to Stanley, McCall, Donnelly, Cascade, and Sun Valley.  With them, they bring an appreciation of all things natural and adventurous.  I guess you could call it a ‘Boise State of Mind.’

TRUNKS ART introduces "Boise Brewfest" as the latest in the Boise Series!

Boise, ID - April 12, 2018 - "Boise Brewfest" (#11) - One. That's the number of breweries in Idaho in 1984 (Sanke River).  Today, there are over 60, putting the gem state in the top 10 on a per capita basis.  Barrel production (barrel = 2 kegs) has tripled in recent years which isn't surprising to this observant sleuth since the number of annual FORT festivals in Boise now stands at 735. 😏

"Boise Coffee To Go" is the latest addition from TRUNKS ART!

Boise, ID - March 19, 2018 - "Boise Coffee To Go" - What's better than riding your bike to your favorite coffee place in the morning?  I know! I know! Riding that bike in Boise!  Ding, ding, ding - that IS correct!  And, just like all of these homegrown signature brands, life in Boise is unique, flavorful, welcoming and satisfying.

New Work From TRUNKS ART! "Zoo Boise" is the latest in the series.

Boise, ID - February 8, 2018 - "Zoo Boise" (#9) might not have been a reality if it wasn't for an adventurous, curious monkey who wandered away from a traveling circus in Mountain Home, Idaho, in 1916.  Eventually, that monkey and hundreds of other animals were brought to Zoo Boise in Julia Davis Park.  Today, I always look for the giraffes when I ride my bike through the park.  Springtime is imminent!
