Notes and details from the last composition from TRUNKS ART!

Boise, Idaho - March 16, 2020 - Business as usual in my little art studio where social distancing has its upside: productive creativeness!  This last composition, "By Design," was more challenging than I originally thought.  Here's a peak into the madness along with a few nifty close-ups.  The finished composition, along with the meaning behind it, can be found in my most previous post.  And as always, thanks for perusing my work.  Stay healthy.  Stay sane.

"By Design" is the latest PHYSICS INSPIRED artwork from TRUNKS ART!

Boise, Idaho - March 12, 2020 - "By Design" (#6/12) - Solar eclipses, tides and the flu season? All predictable.  Solar flares, tsunamis and worldwide pandemics? Not so much - and the universe likes it that way.  One of the ways it ensures this chaotic randomness involves two competing forces within the center of every atom across the periodic table.  Whereas the positively charged, repelling protons in the nucleus produce an (outwardly) electromagnetic force, the (inwardly) nuclear force works to keep them contained.  But not all nuclei are equal as only the iron atom exhibits a balance between these two forces making it the most stable element in the universe.  Okay, here's the payoff: atomic elements lighter than iron tend to combine through fusion (like in our sun) and elements heavier than iron tend to split apart through fission (like in nuclear reactors).  It is these unstable atomic "tendencies" that ensure that our world stays dynamic, ever changing, and unpredictable - and it's all by design.

"Entropy" notes and detailed close ups from TRUNKS ART!

Boise, Idaho - March 1, 2020 - I'm just starting to realize that people like to see the 'behind the scenes' stuff.  So, here are my notes and rough sketches from my recent composition, "Entropy."  I included some detailed close ups and the piece in its entirety.  The meaning behind the work can be found in the previous post.  As always, thank you for the support, the interest and encouragement.
