Finally received my author copy of, "Being Happy: The Pursuit of You."

Nampa, Idaho  - October 17, 2022 - I finally received my author copy from the publisher and I couldn't be happier with it. I hope you'll take the time to read my latest book. I'd love to know what you think about it. 💓

Back Cover:

Who do I think I am? What gives me the right? I'm no Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, or Viktor Frankl, yet I've written a book about finding happiness by controlling emotions, investing in the current moment, and having a meaningful purpose. The nerve!

More than 100 billion human beings have lived and died on this planet, and I'm guessing that every one of them wanted to be happy. I'm also guessing that very few of them wrote books about being happy. What's unique about my book is that I will take you on an open and honest journey using real events from my life that will entertain you, make you feel, relate, and think while being shown exactly how I came to discover and harness the happiness and fulfillment that was hiding inside me all these years.

I offer my humble story with the hope that it'll help you find yours, too. 💓

"Being Happy: The Pursuit of You" is on Amazon now.

Even TRUNKS ART receives unjustified criticism from time to time.

Nampa, Idaho  - September 29, 2022 - If you write a book on polarizing subjects like Donald Trump, abortion rights, vaccine effectiveness, the right to bear arms, the existence of God, or the phenomenon of dog-centric lifestyles, be prepared to receive crazy stuff like this latest "review" on Amazon. And be prepared for mostly one and five star reviews since that's the typical footprint of polarizing content.

By the way, there is absolutely no mention of ambushing or killing dogs. I don't carry a 'kit' on my bike, and have never injured an animal in my life despite having been bitten more than a dozen times. I welcome all reviews (good or bad) but it must be constructive and based on what's actually written - not something that's made up to make me look like a terrible person. That's just mean and takes the dialogue nowhere.

TRUNKS ART: Something Special Happened...

Nampa, Idaho  - August 26, 2022 - Every now and then, something really special happens. I received a letter from a forty-seven-year-old terminally ill cancer patient who wrote to thank me for making him think back to all those he was so grateful for - including my friend who read my book, Heart Appreciation: Stories of Gratitude, to him twice under her hospice care, his favorite being, "Mike." He wrote about his life, his loves, and accomplishments. And he even sent me a $25 Starbucks card to boot. I didn't have a chance to thank him because he passed away the very next day. 💖

Excellent Review of "Must Love Dogs: A Tragedy of Sorts" on Amazon!

Nampa, Idaho  - July 14, 2022 - I'd like to share this wonderful review I received on Amazon in regards to my latest book, Must Love Dogs: A Tragedy of Sorts. She totally gets my theory and the intention behind it:

"Trunks is a talented storyteller who has produced an insightful commentary on an obscure, yet gripping subject. It is both entertaining and heartbreaking. What once was simply the family pet is now being elevated to a status with clout that is seemingly more important than basic manners, a regard for others, and most importantly, human connection. What happened to us? Throughout the book, I caught myself shaking my head and exclaiming, "Wow, he's not wrong," and now I can see the tragedy clearly, too. I'm grateful the author included a phenomenon I've personally witnessed; the pressure (from well-meaning friends and family) to fill the void of relationship with a quick and easy "fix" of a puppy. It's so tempting! And I'm so glad this book came across my nightstand and opened my eyes when it did. I want everyone to read it. It is such a great reminder to put people first, always." -Stefanie

Even if you've been going through life half asleep for the last ten years, I'm still confident that you've noticed an undeniable surge in the number of people with dogs. Have you ever wondered why that is?

After conducting over ten years of field research for this book, amassing 30,000 bike-miles and 10,000 foot-miles while doing so and interviewing hundreds of dog-owning women who trusted me with their personal stories, I developed a theory that attempts to answer the question, "How did America become so obsessed with dogs?"

The sometimes funny, sometimes frightening, and always entertaining observational and experiential stories in the first two parts of the book stem from actual real events and support the explanations behind a theory that takes into account the external and internal pressures that make it remarkably easy for dog owners to exclaim, "Must Love Dogs!" 💖💖💖

"Heart Appreciation" continues to get great reviews on Amazon!

Nampa, Idaho - May 31, 2022 - Hi everyone. I have a NEW book coming out next month but I want to share that I continue to receive wonderful comments about my most recent publicationHeart Appreciation: Stories of Gratitude, which can be found on Amazon Books now.

I found out early in life that good people bring you happiness while not-so-good people teach you lessons, but this book focuses on the great ones who give you memories.

In this collection of personal and lyrical short stories, you will learn how a nine-year-old girl, a pro football legend, a Fortune 500 CEO, a feisty old man, a country boy, a Puerto Rican logistics manager, a new hire from Santa Barbara, a college buddy, and a high school gym teacher taught me about dignity, compassion, loyalty, charisma, humility, selflessness, and so much more.

These non-fiction reflections combine elements of humor, poetry, essay, and memoir and serve as reminders that we are truly a result of what we learn from others. I extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to everyone mentioned in this book as well as to those who will be honored in subsequent compilations. 💖💖💖
