'Join Me?' notes and close-ups from TRUNKS ART!

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - October 13, 2020 - Well, it's a wrap my friends.  My physics art series was finished when I completed my "Join Me?' composition last week.  It took a year to do all 12 and I loved every minute of it.  Theses are some of my notes and close ups of that final work.  Notice how I can't seem to follow my own sketch plans because I end up doing something completely different once I get started - every time! ðŸ’–💖💖

A little behind the scenes of Aurora Borealis from TRUNKS ART!

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - September 4, 2020 - Although unorthodox as hell, I like showing SOME of the 'behind the scenes' and close ups of my work.  These notes and images are from my recent 'Aurora Borealis' art composition. After SO many years, I still hang on for dear life as the creative madness turns into a magic carpet ride!  Thank you for allowing me to share with you. 💖💖💖

TRUNKS ART is proud to present the latest in the PHYSICS SERIES: AURORA BOREALIS!

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - August 28, 2020 - "Aurora Borealis" (#11/12) - I've been lucky enough to see the Aurora Borealis (or Northern Lights) a couple of times from an airplane but when I learned how the phenomenon takes place, I couldn't help but think about an equally astonishing facet of my social interaction - especially in today's "don't need don't trust" cultural mentality.

Okay.  Here we go.  Deep breath.  The earth's core contains molten iron which produces a magnetic field around our planet called the magnetosphere.  This is eerily similar to my cold, black heart (at times) which shrouds me in a cloud of detachment and defensiveness.  Hmm.  Interesting.  The magnetosphere shields the earth from damaging, fast moving and highly charged ions that have escaped the sun's gravitational pull.  So weird.  My cloak of protection works the same way.  COVID-19 updates, non-mask wearing freedom fighters, political zealots, inequality protesters, commercial advertisements and the like just bounce right off of me.  But some of these subatomic solar particles DO make it through the earth's magnetosphere at the north and south poles where the magnetic field is weakest to collide with oxygen and nitrogen atoms high in earth's atmosphere producing a colorful, celestial light show that both awes AND inspires.

Unbelievable!  This is what happens in my heart (that iced over piece of coal) when an act of unexpected kindness or selflessness slips by my cone of resignation.  I feel my heart soften, swell and burst with love in that one precious moment.  It's beautiful but fleeting - just like the Aurora Borealis.

It's "HAPPY HOUR" at TRUNKS ART!!

Boise, Idaho - June 18, 2020 - "Happy Hour" (#10/12) - Ever say to someone, "Hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere!" as you're pouring yourself a cocktail in the early afternoon?  Of course we know that's a fact here on earth but did you know it's true across the universe?  What's more astounding (if you subscribe to Einstein's theory of relativity) is that EVERY happy hour you've ever HAD or WILL HAVE exists as a present moment relative to an observers' distance, speed and direction.  I know.  My mind is blown, too! So let's pause, gather ourselves, take a sip of our martini, try to resist the thought that our most regrettable, alcohol-infused moments live forever and be grateful that the future holds more happy hours!  Yay! 💗💗💗

Notes and Close-ups of the composition, "GRAVITY" by TRUNKS ART! Am I nuts? Yes? No? Maybe?

Boise, Idaho - April 6, 2020 - I've long ago stopped trying to make sense of the creative process.  To me, it's like getting shoved into a raft that's careening along a raging river - without oars.  Just go with the flow!  Oh, and a whole lot of studying up on the subject of your art composition.  So...here are my notes and some close-ups of my last art piece, "Gravity."  As always, thanks for your time, attention and appreciation!

"By Design" is the latest PHYSICS INSPIRED artwork from TRUNKS ART!

Boise, Idaho - March 12, 2020 - "By Design" (#6/12) - Solar eclipses, tides and the flu season? All predictable.  Solar flares, tsunamis and worldwide pandemics? Not so much - and the universe likes it that way.  One of the ways it ensures this chaotic randomness involves two competing forces within the center of every atom across the periodic table.  Whereas the positively charged, repelling protons in the nucleus produce an (outwardly) electromagnetic force, the (inwardly) nuclear force works to keep them contained.  But not all nuclei are equal as only the iron atom exhibits a balance between these two forces making it the most stable element in the universe.  Okay, here's the payoff: atomic elements lighter than iron tend to combine through fusion (like in our sun) and elements heavier than iron tend to split apart through fission (like in nuclear reactors).  It is these unstable atomic "tendencies" that ensure that our world stays dynamic, ever changing, and unpredictable - and it's all by design.

"Entropy" notes and detailed close ups from TRUNKS ART!

Boise, Idaho - March 1, 2020 - I'm just starting to realize that people like to see the 'behind the scenes' stuff.  So, here are my notes and rough sketches from my recent composition, "Entropy."  I included some detailed close ups and the piece in its entirety.  The meaning behind the work can be found in the previous post.  As always, thank you for the support, the interest and encouragement.

New Art Composition from TRUNKS ART: "Entropy."

Boise, Idaho - February 29, 2020 - "Entropy" (#5/12) - The next time you hear someone complain that the world is going to sh*t, make their day by letting them know that's true but to include the whole universe as well - thanks to good old Entropy!

Entropy is a physics term defined as 'the gradual decline into disorder' and that everything in the universe is affected by it - even relationships.

Whereas the elements will turn a discarded banana peel into a slick of black ooze on the sidewalk, things like social media, technology, and societal pressures can turn couples into singles.  But, unlike that yucky banana peel, we can not only stop 'relationship entropy' - we can actually reverse its impact by staying vigilant, investing in one another and (oh yeah) by watching where we step on the sidewalk.
