TRUNKS ART gets lucky with LUCKY PEAK!

Boise, Idaho - January 15, 2019 - "Lucky Peak" (#3/12) - How lucky am I to live within 10 riverside bike miles of Lucky Peak State Park, located off of Highway 21 just minutes from downtown Boise? Completed after 6 years of work headed by the Army Corp of Engineers in 1955, the associated reservoir has a drain valve (so to speak) which when opened in the springtime, sends 1,500 to 2,500 cubic feet (per second) of snowmelt water upwards of 150 feet into the air creating what is referred to as a rooster tail.  This effect is pretty awesome to witness as the water leaves the "drain opening" at about 60 miles and hour.  By shooting the discharge upwards, it reduces river erosion and sends all that crystal clear water into the Boise River for everyone to enjoy.

Trunks Art moved to Boise from Los Angeles in 2015 and has made this city his home and art inspiration.
