It's a wrap! TRUNKS ART completes the NATURE SERIES with "Taker Easy!"

Raleigh, North Carolina - November 21, 2021 - "Taker Easy" (#12/12) - I live in the same society as you, see many of the same things as you and become disheartened like you when witnessing the same events that widen the divides in this country.  With this last art piece completed, my year-long Nature Series project comes to an end.  All twelve compositions remind me that nature is truly the ultimate reset button that invigorates my body, fills my heart and quiets my mind.  I invite you to sit a while with me because I need your help in finding the right combination to unlock hope and happiness in a world that suddenly feels like a Rubik's Cube. 💖💖💖

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - April 8, 2021 - "Beneath Us" (#8/12) - We live within the confines of the space-time continuum which means that we sometimes have great times in great spaces - at the same time.  For me, an instance like that came when I stuck my head in the warm Caribbean waters off the coast of Curacao and saw an underworld of sea life that I will never forget.  Bad times and lousy spaces are bound to happen from time to time but I try to remember that they don't last forever and that gratitude and positivity are always within arm's reach. 💖💖💖

New work from TRUNKS ART! "Winds of Change" is the third installment of the Nature Series!

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - December 11, 2020 - "Winds of Change" (#3/12) -  For the most part, change is good, right?  If you're 'all in' and don't give up, you WILL BE successful whether you're going with the wind or against it.  For some reason, I was taught to believe that you needed to suffer and sacrifice in order to accomplish anything worthy of merit.  So, off I went to conquer the world and stake my claim by always choosing to trudge against the wind, paddle upstream and climb mountains.  Go WITH the flow?  Are you kidding me?  That route had a big arrow sign that read, "Losers: This Way!"  Time has a way of softening and opening us - even crotchety, crusty types like me.  What I feared would feel like 'quitting' if I turned my back to the wind ended up feeling more like 'acceptance' and 'surrender.'  Not only was success still possible, it was more meaningful and impactful.  So, let me get this straight; if my heart is in the right place AND I cooperate with the universe - I can offer my best contributions, make a difference and NOT be adding to the woes of the world?  I'm in.  I'm 'all in.' 💖💖💖

TRUNKS ART starts a new NATURE SERIES with "Your Choice!"

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - November 7, 2020 - "Your Choice" (#1/12) - Isn't it amazing? I mean, just think about it for a second. Sun rays that land on one leaf type makes plums, another produces oranges, still another creates apples. See? Incredible. I know I'm gushing about the eighth grade science lesson of photosynthesis, but c'mon; ANY process that uses good ol' sunlight to turn carbon dioxide and water into sugar and oxygen is pretty awesome to know about at any age, right? Hmmm. If you stop and think about it, it's a lot like what we see in society. We all live under the same sun yet some people choose to spew negativity while others promote acceptance, support, humor, wisdom and love. Remember, it's your choice. 💖💖💖

NEW ART from TRUNKS ART! It's time for "SPACE TIME!"

Boise, Idaho - June 3, 2020 - "Space Time" (#9/12) - When I told my friends that my next art piece will focus on 'Space Time,' they thought it would be about the new, social distancing era.  Umm...no.  Space Time is a widely accepted Einsteinian theory where motion through space can effect the passage of time.  I'm hoping that my two dimensional rendering will interest your three dimensional imagination into understanding a four dimensional concept!  The basic premise is that we are always moving through the Space Time continuum even when we're standing still.  Imagine you're driving north at 60 mph when suddenly you start heading northwest at the same rate.  You're still heading north but not as fast because some of your motion has been diverted westbound.  See?  That's like Space Time.  Don't move and all of your motion is through time.  Move and your motion through time is slowed.  So now you know it's an inverse relationship and a good reason to start moving.  Just make sure you stay 6 feet away from me when you start! 💖💖💖

TRUNKS ART presents a new composition called, "Gravity." It's a part of the Physics Series!

Boise, Idaho - April 3, 2020 - "Gravity" (#7/12) - At some point in our history, when we just couldn't keep ignoring the mounting evidence, we stopped believing the earth was flat.  Fast forward to 2020 (with a 3M N95 face mask and rubber gloves of course) and you'll find out that gravity - yup, that ol' reliable stalwart that 'only' serves as the foundational bedrock on which 'up and down' is based upon - is not what we believed it to be.  What the...?! Where's up? Do pigs fly now?  Are we hurtling towards the sun?!  Turns out gravity is only a 'sensation' resulting from the bending of space time by objects with mass and NOT a force based on attraction.  Hmm.  Could be the reason why I'm single - but I digress.  Guess what?  It gets worse.  Now they (they being the top theoretical physicists in the world) think that the secret to gravity is hidden in the quantum mechanics world - in subatomic particles known as gravitrons.  Gosh...remember when we dropped stuff and it just fell down?  *Sigh*...good times.

Ventura County, California - August 14, 2018 - "Paradise Falls" (#3) - Paradise Falls is a real place in Southern California and reminds me of Jump Creek Falls in Marsing, Idaho. Located in Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks, it drops 40 feel into a picturesque pool of cool mountain water with crayola colored fish literally jumping 4 to 6 feet out of it!

"Sickamore Kove"...new art piece for the Conejo Valley Guide (.com) by Trunks Art!

Ventura County, California - July 23, 2018 - "Sickamore Kove" (#2/6) - Not one for traffic and parking hassles, I always try to find alternatives to mitigate those summertime frustrations. Take Sycamore Cove in Ventura County in Southern California for instance.  Sitting at the northern end of the Santa Monica Mountains, it offers tranquil surf, a clean beach, plenty of shade trees, bathrooms and on-duty lifeguards to watch over you, your family and friends.  Forget driving there! Instead, park your car up in Newbury Park at the trailhead on Potrero Road and hike, bike or run through the canyon to Sycamore Cove.  It's ONLY about 10 miles and believe me - it'll feel like a dessert oasis when you get there!  The folks at the Conejo Valley Guide (.com) know what I'm talking about!

Latest in "The Series" from Trunks Art: "HOTEL BOISE!"

Boise, ID - July 3, 2017 - "Hotel Boise" - They came in droves to the Boise Basin in 1863 after gold was discovered here in August 2, 1862.  This created an immediate need for hotels, restaurants, stores, saloons and brothels.  The Idanha Hotel opened on January 1, 1901, the first day of the 20th century, and was designed by William S. Campbell, who picked the French-chateau style after visiting every modern hotel between Boise and New York.  It quickly became THE hotel in Boise and cost $125K to build and charged $2 per night!  Today, the iconic landmark serves as an apartment building that is believed to be haunted.

"Lovers Beach" is the latest creation in the TRUNKS ART series, "This End Up!"

Camarillo, CA — March 18, 2012 — When I look at my newly completed art piece, “Lovers Beach,” I can’t help but think of it as a composition I should’ve done years ago. For reasons still not fully understood, I’ve managed to make footprints on about a dozen of these ‘same name’ beaches. Between trips to Hawaii, a few excursions to Mexico and a two-year work assignment in the Caribbean, a ‘lovers beach’ could always be stumbled upon. Although exotic and dreamy, these former destinations provided none of the inspiration behind this art work. Like most of my work, it was inspired by the beauty and tranquility of the beaches in Ventura County.
